Thank you for expressing interest in my new publication, “These Sounds are Driving Me Crazy!” Training for Mental Health Professionals in Treating Sound Sensitivity Disorders. After more than a dozen years of treating many hundreds of clients with tinnitus, hyperacusis, and especially misophonia, and almost 3 years of writing (along with a few technical delays), I am excited to announce that it is finally ready to be ordered!

This is a comprehensive training program to provide much needed assistance to the thousands of patients across the country and beyond, who are struggling with these disorders. I find it heartbreaking to hear their stories and their frustration in finding help, especially when well-intentioned but misinformed therapists have sometimes made matters worse for them. I welcome the addition of qualified colleagues in offering services to these often-desperate individuals and families.

The training manual can be ordered for $129.24 plus shipping; however, I am offering an introductory price. If you order directly from me by March 15, 2025, you will be able to purchase this manual for only $98.00 plus shipping. Considering most therapists’ per session fees, it is likely that your first appointment with your first client will more than cover the cost of this training program.

In addition to my complete protocol with scripts and assignments, the manual contains copies of all the forms and letters I have most recently been using. There is also an available packet of more than 30 pages containing all of these in Microsoft WORD format, if you would like to be able to simply edit and adapt with your own personal information. The editable forms can be added to your book order (or purchased separately) for an additional modest fee of $15.00.

Once you have the manual in hand, I am available to assist you in application of this program. I am reducing my hourly counseling fee to provide individual or possibly group consultations. I am excited to engage as many qualified mental health professionals as possible to assist in helping those with these vexing sound sensitivity conditions.
